Reflection Questions

Answer these questions thoughtfully. There's no minimum or maximum length — write what's honest.

  1. Look at your self-assessment above. Which learning target are you most proud of? What specific moment or assignment showed you that growth?
  2. Which learning target do you still want to develop? What's one specific thing you could do to get stronger in that area?
  3. Think about your experience with the branching scenario and peer review. How did receiving feedback from a classmate change your understanding of your own work?
  4. You've now designed NPCs, quests, branching narratives, and a full session plan. If you were going to DM a real session tomorrow, what would you feel most confident about? What would make you most nervous?
  5. How has this unit changed the way you think about stories? Has learning to design for player agency affected how you read, watch, or play stories in other media?
Weekly Self-Check

Before moving on, take a moment to review your work this unit. What are you most proud of? What would you like to revisit? Think about your growth as a campaign designer — which design skills feel strongest, and what aspects of interactive storytelling do you want to explore further?

Self-Awareness

You've spent three weeks designing experiences for other people—campaigns that respond to player choices, NPCs that feel like real people, quests that create genuine dilemmas. That's an extraordinary act of empathy and creativity. Take a moment to recognize what you've accomplished. The skills you've built here—designing for others, managing complexity, adapting to the unexpected—aren't just DM skills. They're life skills.

AI Guidance

This reflection is about your personal experience and growth. Do not use AI to write your reflection. Your honest self-assessment is more valuable than polished sentences.
