Metacognitive Reflection
Answer these questions thoughtfully. There's no minimum or maximum length — write what's honest.
- Look at your Hometown Fantasy Setting (Assignment 1.3), your Trading Post Description (Assignment 1.5), and your Region Creation (Assignment 1.7) side by side. How did your writing change from the first assignment to the last? What specific improvements can you point to?
- Which lesson, activity, or concept from this unit had the biggest impact on your writing? Why?
- What was the most challenging part of this unit? How did you handle that challenge? What would you do differently next time?
- Think about the peer feedback you gave and received. How did that experience affect your writing or your understanding of craft?
- The essential question for this unit was: "How do the places we create reveal who we are as storytellers?" Now that you've built multiple worlds, how would you answer that question?
Self-Awareness
Growth as a writer isn't always obvious in the moment. But if you compare where you started to where you are now, the changes are real. Take a moment to acknowledge what you accomplished in this unit. Building worlds from words is hard, creative, demanding work, and you did it. In your submission, answer: What are you most proud of?

How to Submit Your Work
Choose how to present your work:
Option A: Written Reflection
Submit your self-assessment ratings, practice goals, and written responses to all reflection questions as a document.
Option B: Written + Portfolio Evidence
Submit your written reflection alongside screenshots or excerpts from your assignments that illustrate the growth you describe.
Option C: Audio + Written
Submit an audio recording (4–6 minutes) of you reflecting on your growth, plus a written copy of your self-assessment and practice goals.
AI Guidance
This reflection must be entirely your own thinking. Do not use AI to write or revise your reflection responses. The point of reflection is to develop YOUR awareness of your own creative process.
